We offer 4 varieties of Coturnix Quail for sale of all ages. Each has advantages over the others and we would be happy to tell you more and give you our advice on what would be best for your goals. From big birds that lay big eggs that are ideal for egg and meat production, to sex-linked quail that allow you to even pick out the exact number of girls/boys you want from day 1 and even beautiful blue egg laying quail of countless color patters… we have fantastic options for you.
For chick and adult pricing: We sell chicks for $3-$8 each from 1-5 days old and the price goes up as they age as I have to reserve more space for them, feed them (expensive 30% protein, Organic, No GMO feed), and care for them. Price goes up $1-$2 a week until we can identify which are males and females, around the 6-8 weeks for celadons, 3-4 weeks for jumbos and day 1 for sex links. The price of the boys goes down once we can identify which they areand the price of the girls goes up. Customers and I both want the girls mostly, so the prices are set accordingly.
Please note that local chicken farms that sell immature hens that won’t be laying for months sell those hens for $30-$45 each. Pricing for our quail hens is far more attractive when you consider the amount of food they’ll produce for you and your family and how little a space they require. The males are a great deal if you only want to raise the birds for a few weeks and then fill up your freezer with healthy and delicious quail meat.

Breeding sets make it easy to get started raising quail if you want to hatch, brood and raise your own birds. We recommend anywhere from 5-8 females per male for good production while being efficient in feed and space costs. **Please note that sexed birds younger than 3 weeks must be our rare sex link chicks. This is the only variety of Coturnix Quail that can be sexed before 3 weeks. Our jumbos can be sexed at 3 weeks and the celadons typically at 7-8 weeks.
